Shinies in PokéSurvivor: how to get them

Shiny Pokémon are rare, differently colored versions. In PokéSurvivor almost all 966 Pokémon have a shiny form, with real sprites.

How to get them

In the wild: every Pokémon that spawns has a 1 in 4096 chance of being shiny (just like the classic games). You'll see it sparkle and get an alert: defeat it and it's yours.
In rifts: the legendary has a 1 in 512 chance of being shiny.
From the gacha: every pull has a 1 in 100 chance of being shiny, and 1 in 50 in the banner of a region whose Pokédex you have completed (you get its Shiny Charm, which you can see in your Bag).
Gacha shinies don't repeat: if you already have that one, you get another missing one of the same rarity. Only once you have them all does a duplicate shiny give triple PokéCoins.
Once you own your partner's shiny form, you can play with it (pick it in your collection).
